Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin and friend
 
    Maureen E. “Sissy” (Herron) Bishop, 71, of Tyngsboro, died Friday, August 10th at Wingate at Belvidere in Lowell following a long and courageous battle with lung disease for many years.
    Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, January 25, 1947, the daughter of the late Thomas F. and the late Kathleen (Mahoney) Herron, she received her education in the Salem, New Hampshire school system. She later made her home in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts which she shared with her treasured dog Darby.
    Sissy attended the Free Christian Church in Andover where she leaves many Christian friends. She also found her strength from knowing God as He walked with her through her journey for transplant and recovery and knew she would one day be home.
    Before retiring, she was employed as a Quality Control Technician with MA/Com in Lowell. Previously, she worked at Raytheon Corporation in South Lowell for over 13 years.
    Sissy is survived by a son Christopher Miller of Somerville, MA; a daughter Paula Miller of Pittsfield, NH; four grandsons Ronnie Collins, Christopher Lebel, Michael Espinola and Adam Miller; six great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Kathleen Herron; and cousins Eileen Melvin and Cathy Morin.
    She thanked God for giving her her best friend Suzanne Kuszek (her angel without wings)…”thanks for all the help and being with me when I needed you the most. God Bless You!” Also Janine Mellinakas, Sue Borrilli, Lucy Oliveria and Phyllis Bonaduci…”thanks for the memories and road trips, we had some fun and laughs didn’t we?”
    Sissy was also sister of the late Tommie Herron who died September 29, 2008.
    Relatives and friends may call for a Memorial Visitation at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 Pawtucket Street at Fletcher in Lowell from 4 to 6 P.M. on Wednesday immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 6 o’clock. Committal Services will be held privately. E-condolences/directions at
