  • Paul Demers  - My tribute to George.
George and I first met playing baseball on Rye Beach in the summer of 1952 when we were both 14 years old and we have remained dear friends ever since. I would venture to say that something is missing from this description of George`s beautiful life: he was also a Saint. Hopefully, George will now put in a good word for us upstairs for the rest of us who could never measure up to his example and who will be talking about him down here for a long time. You got that George?
