No words can Express the sorrow that I have in my heart to lose such a dear uncle, the last one I might add, since my Dad considered him a brother not a first cousin. I wanna always remember the good times when Sharkey and my late father dyed their white hair(looked like Elvis) and sat by the pool in California or most recently last summer at the convention in Charleston WV... When we lose a loved one on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches(be careful George) over us. My deepest condolences to Lawrence, George and Nicole...I'm certain he will rest in peace.

  • Ghassan Skaf Lebanon  - Rest in the arms of our Lord my dearest Sharkey
Dearest Laurence, George and Nicole, I was shocked and deeply saddened by the loss of my beloved Sharkey and words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that I feel as loosing my dearest Sharkey is a profound loss. Today words fall short of expressing my sorrow. Sharkey was a wise man , a wonderful Godfather that I always admired for his strength of character and his faith. We connected last in Charleston for the Skaf Family Reunion where I knew he made an extra effort to be with us despite his health condition. He was there with tears in his eyes to say goodbye to the people he loved. Today I will continue to be inspired by the noble life that he lived and tomorrow after the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said , all I will have are happy memories that we have shared for many years. My heart aches because Sharkey is no longer with us but I take comfort that he is now resting in the arms of our Lord. Dearest Laurence, George and Nicole, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. May God forgive and accept his Soul into the Garden of Eden, near the throne of whom he seeks and loved. Ghassan Skaf
