Beloved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle;



Patrick W. Finneral, 67, a lifelong resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, April 8, 2022.

He was the beloved husband of the late Valerie (Nicholaides) Finneral who passed away in October of 2020.

Born in Lowell, August 22, 1954, the son of the late Patrick J. and Margaret E. (Ralls) Finneral. He received his education in the Lowell school system and graduated from Lowell High School, Class of 1972.

Patrick furthered his education at Northern Essex Community College.

Prior to his retirement, Patrick worked as a locomotive engineer at Keolis Commuter Rail, Amtrak, and Boston and Maine Railroad for over 40 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen Div. 57.

He had a passion for traveling, skiing, tennis, and riding in the Pan Mass Challenge.

Patrick is survived by his sister Donna M. Coffey and her husband Dennis of West Yarmouth, Mass.; sister-in-law Ann Finneral of Weare, NH; two brothers-in-law, Stephen Nicholaides and his wife Kathleen Sweeney of Kennebunk, Maine; and Peter Milinazzo of Sacramento, California; and 11 beloved nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Thomas P. Finneral and the late Barbara J. Milinazzo.
