William D. Mullaney


Beloved step father, step grandfather, and friend;

William D. Mullaney, 88, of Lowell, Massachusetts, also known as "Happy Bill" to many of his friends, passed away at the V.A. Hospital in West Roxbury on Sunday May 1, 2022.


He was the beloved husband of the late Diane C. (Beauregard) Mullaney.


Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, January 21, 1934, the son of the late John F. and and the late Helen V. (Murphy) Mullaney, he attended school in Lowell and graduated from St. Domenic's Academy in Belmont, MA.


A veteran of the Korean War, Bill proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army between 1954-1956. 
Prior to his retirement, Bill worked as a real estate agent in the Greater Lowell area.


He was also a Friend of Bill.


He is survived by his three step daughters Lee Ann Floyd of Lowell, MA, LoRetta Lowry and her husband Steven of Lowell, MA and Michelle Leboeuf of Lowell, MA; eight loving step grandchildren; and his dear friend John J. Slavin and his wife Carol of Pelham, NH.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service on Monday, May 9, 2022, at St. Patrick Cemetery (In Section E) at 1:30 PM. E-condolences at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com.     Bill was the most awesomest person tn the world!!! He excerpted us when he married my mom and treated us like we were is own!! Anytime we were in a jam he was right there and not just for us!! When my mom passed he was still there for us!! Now what person does that!! I'm really gonna miss him and my daughter too! My daughter and I just found out at 8:00 tonight when she apparently knew on Wednesday!! I guess they said if I go they wouldn't go unreal!! I love you Bill and I'm really gonna miss u I feel like my world has really crashed!!!
