Frances L. “Frani” (Taylor) Sheehan, 78, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday December 28, 2022, at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell, MA.

She was the wife of the late John J. “Jack” Sheehan Jr. who was the former superintendent of the Lowell Police Department. Jack passed on January 13, 2013.

Friends may call for her Memorial Visitation on Tuesday  January 10, 2023, at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL from 4 to 7 P.M. Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in LOWELL on Wednesday January 11, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. followed by her burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell. Frances L. “Frani” (Taylor) Sheehan, 78, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday December 28, 2022, at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell, MA.

She was the wife of the late John J. “Jack” Sheehan Jr. who was the former superintendent of the Lowell Police Department. Jack passed on January 13, 2013.

Born in Lowell, MA, August 3, 1944, the daughter of the late Frederick and the late Frances (Tully) Taylor, she attended St. Patrick Grammar school and was a graduate of Lowell High School Class of 1963. She went on to graduate from Lowell Commercial College.

Above all else Frani loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a member of the Lowell Police Officers Wives Club, Catholic Daughters and the League of Catholic Women She also participated in the Varnum School PTO, taught religious education at St. Michael’s and the Immaculate Conception Church and was a Brownie Leader,

Frances is survived by two daughters: Colleen M. Judge and her husband Ned of Dracut, MA, and Kerrilyn Pessin and her husband Daniel of Holliston, MA; six grandchildren Edward J. “EJ” Judge and his wife Sarah, Shelagh M. Judge, Zachary H. Pessin, Jonathan D. Pessin, Aden M. Pessin, Kyleigh B. Pessin; a sister-in-law Julie Sheehan of Dracut, MA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Janet Paolilli and was the sister-in-law of the late Thomas Sheehan and Garrett Sheehan.
