KAREN LINNEHAN CROWE

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend;

Karen Linnehan Crowe, 70 of Seabrook Beach, NH and formerly of Irvine, CA and Lowell, MA, passed peacefully at home with her husband John A. Crowe, Jr. by her side on Friday December 30, 2022, following a lengthy illness.

Born to the late James and the late Katherine (Chadwick) Linnehan, Esq. in Lowell, MA on April 24, 1952, she grew up on Robbins Street and then Clark Road in Lowell and attended St. Margaret’s School and graduated from Lowell High School, Class of 1970. As a person who cared deeply for many important causes including women’s rights, animal welfare, youth sports, environmental conservation, and veteran’s affairs, she also volunteered in her children’s schools and the community, taking on crucial leadership roles in the regional soccer program and supporting many youth programs.

Besides her husband John, Karen is survived by her daughter Kate, and her husband Greg Pelletier, and their daughter Gabrielle of Barrington, RI, her daughter Karolyne of Norwood, MA, and of course, Karen’s canine companion, Ollie. Her son John "Andrew" Crowe passed away in 2016.

She cherished her siblings and their spouses: James “Jay” Linnehan, Jr. and Patricia (Green) Linnehan, Thomas “Tucker” Linnehan and Heidi (Harter) Linnehan, Susan (Linnehan) Maloney, Timothy Linnehan and Lisa (Mooradian) Linnehan, and John Linnehan and Deborah Linnehan, as well as in-laws MaryAnn Crowe, Raymond and Eileen (Benson) Crowe, and Martha (Crowe) and Richard Hyslip, and many nieces and nephews.

    Words cannot begin to describe our sorrow for such an amazing person. The fond memories of the years with the Crowe’s and Linnehan’s are bountiful, all of which are laced with laughter and love. I’ll never forget John and Karen, with Timmy, took me to my first Bruins game. I got to experience early what it was to be in the presence of a real Bruins fan. Very enlightening. Karen’s wit would always incite laughter and banter, with few people able to match her quick responses. I remember vividly growing up times when Karen and Mrs. Linnehan would pop down the street to visit my parents and immediately my mom & dad would be laughing at the topics and content of the conversation’s. Karen touched many and she will be truly missed. Our sincere thoughts and prayers to all of you.
