IRENE F. MORIN

     Irene F. Morin, 98, of Lowell and Plymouth, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family,  Thursday evening at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
     Born in Tilton, NH, March 25, 1913, the daughter of the late John A. and the late Delia (Larmand) Morin, she attended Lowell Elementary Schools and Lowell High School.
     Irene was a communicant at St. Marie Church in Lowell.
     She was an avid reader, loved music and embroidery. In addition, she enjoyed bird watching, particularly “Cardinals” that nested in the trees.
     Before retiring, Irene was a Supervisor in Retail Control for the Zayre Corporation in Boston and Framingham for more than 36 years.
     She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Framingham and the Girls City Club of Lowell.
     Irene is survived by two sisters Doris Ouellette and her husband Roland of Nashua, NH and Lucille Surprenant of Lowell; a brother J. Maurice Morin of Edison, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
     She was the sister of the late Henry Morin, Anita (Malo) McCaffery and Robert Morin, and the sister-in-law of the late Yvonne Morin, Albert Malo, William McCaffery, Marion Morin and Dennis Surprenant.
     At her request, funeral services were held privately at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
