![]() BEATRIZ M. RAMIREZ Beatriz M. (Cardenas) Ramirez, 71, of Lowell and formerly of the Centralville Section of the city, died Thursday morning, April 21st at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Jorge E. Ramirez who died December 25, 1981.
Born in Medellin, Colombia, November 30, 1939, the daughter of the late Rafael and the late Rosa (Cardenas) Cardenas, she received her education in her native Colombia. Very faithful to her church, Beatriz was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Lowell. Before retiring in 2009, she was an Assembler with M/A-Com (now known as Tyco Electronics) in Lowell for over 29 years. In addition, she also worked for the former Bradley’s Department store in Chelmsford for many years A widow at age 42, Beatriz worked two jobs for many years and was dedicated to providing a warm loving home and an education for her four children. In more recent years, she has enjoyed spending time with both her children and grandchildren. Beatriz is survived by two daughters Elizabeth M. “Liz” Cryan and her husband James of Pelham, NH and Gloria E. Ramirez of Lowell; two sons Atty. George A. Ramirez and his wife Kathleen of Lowell and Carlos E. Ramirez, LPD and his wife Marlene of Dracut; six grandchildren Georgieanna Ramirez, Christian Ramirez, USMC, Juliann Ramirez, Emily Ramirez, Audrey Ramirez and Carlos Jorge “CJ” Ramirez; four sisters Luz E. Cardenas, Rosalba Rojas and Victoria Arenas and her husband Carlos, all of Colombia and Miryan Cardenas of Lowell; four brothers Dario Cardenas, Luis Cardenas, Jaun Cardenas and his wife Noelba and Anival Cardenas, all of Colombia; and many nieces and nephews. RAMIREZ - In Lowell, April 21, 2011, at her home, Beatriz M. (Cardenas) Ramirez, 71, of Lowell and formerly of the Centralville Section of the city, wife of the late Jorge E. Ramirez. Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday. Her funeral will take place from the Funeral Home on Tuesday morning at 10:30 o’clock followed by a Funeral Mass at ST. MICHAEL CHURCH in Lowell at 11:30 o’clock.
