 Alexandra (Ziavras) Louizos, 91, of Lowell, died Saturday evening, August 20th at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 15, 1919, the daughter of the late Efthemios and the late Pangiota (Neofitistos) Ziavras, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
 Before retiring, Alexandra was employed as an Assembler with Raytheon Corporation in Andover for many years.
 She was a member of the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell.
 A U.S. Army veteran, Alexandra was a Staff Sergeant in the Women’s Army Corps during Peacetime from 1946 to 1949.
 Among her many interests, she especially enjoyed traveling to Greece. After retirement, she was a volunteer at the Saints Memorial Medical Center gift shop for over 20 years.
 Alexandra is survived by a niece Donna Kremidas of Bangor, ME; two grandnephews Nicholas Kremidas of Lowell and Jackie Kremidas of Quincy, MA; and a great-grandniece Melody Kremidas of Lowell.
 She was also sister of the late Catherine Kremidas, Aspasia Welch, Frieda Ziavras, Michael Ziavras and Professor Charles E. Ziavras and aunt of the late Nicholas Kremidas.
 
LOUIZOS – In Haverhill, August 20, 2011, at Merrimack Valley Hospice, Alexandra (Ziavras) Louizos, 91, of Lowell. Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock followed by a Funeral Service at the HELLENIC ORTHODOX CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY at 10 o'clock. Burial in Westlawn Cemetery. Those wishing may make contributions in her memory to the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, Lewis St, Lowell, MA 01854.
