Rose I. "Joanne" Elias
Rose I. "Joanne" (Bouffard) Elias, 90, formerly of Lowell, MA passed away peacefully on September 8, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Alexander Elias who died July 11, 1998.
Born in Boscawen, New Hampshire, April 2, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph N. and the late Yvonne (Rainville) Bouffard, she received her education in the Tilton Preparatory School in Tilton, NH.
Before retiring, Mrs. Elias was a Group Leader and Assembler with Honeywell Inc. for 17 years. Previously, she worked at Robie Shoe Company in Lowell as a Stitcher.
She was a member of St. George’s Antiochian Orthodox Church in Lowell. She was also a former treasurer of St. George’s Ladies Club.
Mrs. Elias is survived by her daughter Elaine L. Giorgi of Haverhill MA; five grandchildren Kimberley Hamilton and her husband Scott of Chicago, Kirk Cutler of Concord NH, Kalley Cutler Allen and her husband Ronnie of Salem New Hampshire, Kristen Cutler of Hudson NH and Keith Cutler of Atkinson NH; six great grandchildren Bryan Hamilton, Nicole Hamilton, Lauren Hamilton and Alex Hamilton of Chicago, Kacey Levesque of Hudson, NH and Jamison Allen of Salem NH; her niece, Beatrice Hunter of Kittery Maine; her sisters in law: Minnera Skaff, Pat Elias, Rosiland Elias and Ella Jean Elias.
ELIAS – In Chicago, Sept. 8, 2011, Rose I. “Joanne” (Bouffard) Elias, 90, formerly of Lowell, beloved wife of the late Alexander Elias. Relatives and friends may call at ST. GEORGE’S ANTIOCHIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH in Lowell from 9 to 11 AM on Friday morning. Her Funeral Service will immediately follow in the church at 11 o’clock. Burial in Westlawn Cemetery.
