Grace Patricia LeGendre
Grace Patricia (Keon) LeGendre, 93, a lifelong resident of the Pawtucketville Section of Lowell, died Friday, October 14th at Willow Manor Nursing Home in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Alan A. LeGendre with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, November 1, 1917, the youngest of six children, she was the daughter of the late Phillip J. and the late Anna (Shea) Keon, and attended St. Patrick Grammar School in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1934. She then went on to attend Lowell Teachers College (now known as U-Mass Lowell). Grace was a communicant of the Parish of St. Rita in Lowell where she was very active with her church. She was also very active with her son’s special needs school in Chelmsford. Among her many interests, Grace loved the social life such as dancing and music and especially enjoyed attending weddings. She is survived by a son Alan R. LeGendre of Westford; two nieces Carolyn Gecoy of Lynnfield, MA and Eleanor Corfield of Edgartown, MA; three nephews James Gannon of Pelham, NH, Robert Gannon of Chelmsford, MA and Richard Gannon of Dracut, MA; and several grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She was also sister of the late Phillip J. Keon, Leo F. Keon, Francis H. Keon, Margaret T. Peters and Gertrude V. Gannon.

Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home Monday morning at 8 o’clock followed by a Funeral Mass at the PARISH OF ST. RITA, 158 Mammoth Rd. in Lowell at 9 o'clock.
