Lee N. Peikes

Retired U.S. Army, Korean War Veteran,
Lee N. Peikes, 84, of Lowell, died Friday October 28th, at Saints Medical Center. Born In Boston, Massachusetts, September 5, 1927, the son of the late Nathan and the late Mary (O’Sullivan) Peikes, he was brought up in Lowell and received his education in Lowell schools. Lee joined the U.S Army in 1951 and began a 20 year career in military service to his country. A decorated veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, he served until his retirement in 1971. He was a loyal communicant of St. Joseph of the Worker Shrine. Lee enjoyed going to Mohegan Sun and travelling, especially to Montreal, Philadelphia and New York. He is survived by several dear cousins and many good friends.
