      Diane N. (Notini) Loughran, 64, a member of a widely known Lowell family, died Monday, November 14th at her home in Lowell surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Loughran who predeceased her December 29, 2005.
     Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, June 5, 1947, the daughter of Doris (Belleville) Notini and the late Robert Notini, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsborough in the Class of 1965. She then went on to graduate with both a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Education from Lowell State Teachers College (now known as U/Mass Lowell).
     She started her teaching career in the City of Lowell as a kindergarten teacher and taught in several Lowell schools throughout the years.
     Diane was a communicant and active member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell for many years. She was also a member of the Notre Dame Alumnae Association and the Immaculate Conception Women’s Guild. She served as a religious education teacher and as a Eucharistic Minister at the Immaculate Conception Parish.
     She was a Friend of Lois and Bill W. for 28 years.
     Diane is survived by her daughter Erin Kaylan Loughran of Lowell and a son Patrick James Loughran of Lowell; two brothers Robert C. Notini and his wife Lynn of Chelmsford and David J. Notini of Lowell; four sisters-in-law Margaret Edwards of Lowell, Elizabeth Macomber and her husband Loren of Westford, Kathy Belida and her husband Jim of Lowell and Claire Rodger and her husband Robert of Lowell; two brothers-in-law Fred Loughran and his wife Sharon of Lowell and Kevin Loughran and his wife Carol of Andover; she was also the well-loved aunt of many nieces and nephews and leaves many grandnieces and grandnephews.
      
LOUGHRAN – In Lowell, Nov. 14, 2011 at her home, Diane N. Loughran, 64, a member of a well-known Lowell family, wife of the late James R. Loughran. Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday. Friends are invited to her Funeral Mass to be celebrated Friday morning at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH (Lower Church) at 10 o’clock. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
