
Dmytro Odryna
Dmytro Odryna, 82, of Sarasota, Florida, peacefully passed away on Wednesday November 23rd, 2011 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Nina Odryna, his wife of 56 years, who survives him.
He was born in Kiev, Ukraine, April 26, 1929, the son of the late Teofan Cherkasky and the late Olena Odryna.
Mr. Odryna was a registered Professional Engineer, specializing in Electrical Power Systems. Employed for most of his career with General Dynamics in Groton, Connecticut, he designed submarine power systems for the U.S. Navy, including the 688 and Trident submarines.
In addition to his wife, he was the loving father of Victor Odryna, wed to Regina Odryna, Peter Odryna, wed to Donna Odryna, and Michael Odryna wed to Michele Odryna. He is also survived by grandchildren Christopher Odryna, Justin Odryna, Madison Odryna, Maxwell Odryna, and Charlize Odryna.
His Funeral Service will be held at on Saturday November 26th, 2011 at ST. XENIA ORTHODOX CHURCH 170 N. Lowell St. (Rt 113), in Methuen, at 2:00 P.M.
