
James T. Beshara

WW II veteran, Sergeant U.S. Air Force
James T. Beshara, 90, a life-long resident of the City, making his home in the Highlands section of Lowell, died Tuesday evening at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was the beloved husband of Sadie K. (Haddad) Beshara with whom he celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on June 17, 2011.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, November 16, 1921, the son of the late Edward and the late Jennie (Abodeely) Beshara, he attended St. Patrick’s Boys school and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1940. He went on to graduate from the Burdett Business School in Boston with a Degree in Accounting.
Following school, Jim entered the U.S. Air Force and served his country during World War II. A Sergeant in the Air Force, he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, as well as the American Service and Good Conduct Medals.
Jim worked as an accountant for the U.S. Department of the Army at Fort Devens for many years.
Jim was a proud and dear “Jiddoo” to his adoring granddaughters with whom he shared a special bond. He enjoyed being with family and friends and never met a stranger. His sense of humor, kind and gentle spirit and sociability endeared him to all who knew him.
A member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, he was also a member of the Chelmsford Lodge of Elks and the Chelmsford Senior Center.
Besides his wife Sadie, Jim is survived by two daughters Linda A. Beshara of Lowell and Brenda Pucciarelli and her husband Mark of Londonderry, NH; twin granddaughters Gabriella and Olivia Pucciarelli both of Londonderry, NH; a sister Thelma Ball and her husband John of Charlotte, NC; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Rita M. Forzley who died October 3, 2011.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated Monday morning at ST. MARGARET CHURCH at 9:30 o’clock. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
