 Rena (Athanasopoulos) Coravos of Dracut passed away on February 5, 2012 at the D’Youville Senior Care Facility in Lowell where she resided for the past four years.
 Born in Lowell in 1921, she was the daughter of the late Vasilios and the late Anastasia Athanasopoulos.
 She graduated from Lowell schools and spent her career working for the federal government. As a retiree, she enjoyed reading mysteries, vacationing with her family in Saco, Maine, and weekly shopping trips with her sisters.  Rena was a member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox in Lowell where she attended faithfully. For many years she participated in the Tuesday morning Ladies Philoptochos group with her best friend, Dorothy Xaros, doing community service projects such as knitting hats for newborns in the local hospitals.
 Rena was predeceased by Aristides Coravos, her husband of 64 years. She is survived by three children: Timothy Coravos and his wife June, Stephen Coravos and his wife Maryann, and Martha Coravos, all of Dracut; six grandchildren (Thomas, Timothy Jr., Katrina, Anastasia, Christopher, and Michael Coravos); 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters, Helen Sycovaris of Gilford, NH, and Martha Stafford of Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
 
CORAVOS - In Lowell, February 5, 2012, at D’Youville Senior Care, Rena (Athanasopoulos) Coravos of Dracut, wife of the late Aristides Coravos. Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock followed by a Funeral Service at the HELLENIC ORTHODOX CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY at 11 o'clock.  Burial in Westlawn Cemetery.
