World War II Vet, formerly of Lowell, 97
Walter G. Przybyla, 97, formerly of Lowell, died Thursday, October 20, 2011 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the beloved husband of Cecile (Cote) (Allard) Przybyla of Pelham, New Hampshire who survives him.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 25, 1914, the son of the late Andrew and the late Anna (Zolkos) Przybyla, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1932.
A veteran of World War II, Walter proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Before retiring, Walter was employed as a Meat Cutter in the Culinary Department at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts for over 30 years.
Besides his wife Cecile, Walter is survived by two step-daughters Theresa Forrest and her husband Jim and Pauline Dufour all of Pelham, NH; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a nephew-in-law Robert Meigs of Cleveland, OH; a grandniece Jennifer Meigs of Cleveland, OH; two grandnephews Jonathan Meigs and his wife Terri of Cleveland, OH and Samuel Selden of West Chester, PA.
He was also brother of the late Marion (Przybyla) Witkos and the late Stephanie Przybyla and uncle of the late Marelyn (Witkos) Meigs and the late John “Jack” Witkos.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, August 25, 2012 at St. Casimir’s Parish, 268 Lakeview Avenue in Lowell at 10 o’clock.
