 Eileen M. (Hannon) (Lemire) Hooper, 95, of Marion, Massachusetts, formerly of Lowell, Massachusetts, Castro Valley, California and Venice, Florida, died Friday, February 22nd at the Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion with family present.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, December 2, 1917, the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Ellen (Hunt) Hooper, she received her education in Lowell schools and was the valedictorian of her Lowell High School Class. She placed a high value on education and hard work in her life and passed that on to her children. Upon graduating from college majoring in special education, Eileen went on to choose a career path as a school teacher in California.
 Before retiring, Eileen along with her second husband owned and operated Wayside Appliance Warehouse in Chelmsford. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed politics, investing and travel. She was fiercely proud of her Irish heritage.
 Eileen is survived by two daughters Mariellen Marshall and her husband Thomas of Sarasota, FL and Patricia Caddey and her husband Jim of Cancun, Mexico; a step-son Sydney F. “Sonny” Hooper and his wife Helen of Venice, FL; a step-daughter Judi Hutchings and her husband Paul of Santa Rosa, CA; ten grandchildren Shane T. Wells, Frank Hooper, Stephen Hooper, Robin Roche, Tiffany Hutchings, Tristan Marshall, Colin Marshall, Shea Marshall, Colin Dana, and Marissa Dana. She has three great grandchildren with another expected in July.
 She was also mother of the late Maureen Ann (Lemire) Wells. And the widow of her first husband and Maureen’s father, Paul Lemire, who was killed in action shortly before the end of WWII.
