 Dorothy K. (Donovan) Sexton, 95, of Chelmsford, but for many years a resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, died Friday evening at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
 She was the wife of the late Police Detective Francis J. Sexton who died in 1984.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, June 20, 1917, the daughter of the late Eugene J. and the late Mary Alice (Kay) Donovan, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate in 1934 of Lowell High School where she was also a member of the Girl Officers.
 Dorothy went on to graduate from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.
 Before retirement, she was school teacher and the Head of the Business Education Department at Chelmsford High School where she coordinated the typing, shorthand and bookkeeping programs. Previously Dorothy taught at Westford Academy and North Andover High School.
 A lifelong communicant of St. Margaret Church, she was a Past President of St. Margaret Church Sodality and was a member of the Merrimack Valley College Club.
 Dorothy is survived by her daughter Susan Mulvey of Virginia Beach, VA; a son Francis J. Sexton, Jr. and his wife Laura of Tyngsboro; a grandson Stephen R. Mulvey of Farmville, VA; four great grandchildren Daniel, Chrsitopher, Kylie and Brennon Mulvey; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday. Her Funeral will take place from the funeral home Wednesday morning at 8:30 o’clock followed by a Funeral Mass at ST. MARGARET CHURCH at 9:30 o’clock. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
