Margaret Louise (Dockett) Copley

       Margaret Louise (Dockett) Copley, 73, formerly of Dracut, died Tuesday, April 30th at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
     Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter P. “Chris” Copley. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Edward F. and the late Margaret F. (Castles) Dockett, she attended Dracut schools and was a graduate of Dracut High School in the Class of 1957. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree from Emmanuel College and Master’s in Education from Salem State. In addition, she pursued extensive post-graduate coursework at U Mass.-Lowell.
     Margaret was employed by and retired from the Special Education Department of the Dracut public school system where she worked for many years.
     Among her many interests, Margaret especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
     She is survived by her three children, Jayne Copley of Baltimore, MD, Christopher Copley and his partner Bradford Worthen of Richmond, VT and Anne McClure of Portland, ME. Margaret is also survived by her identical twin sister, Jane Lane and her husband J. Robert Lane of Jackson, NH, by her sister Dorothy Stumpf and her husband Bernard of Chelmsford, MA, by her sister Virginia Johnson and her husband Alexander of Plymouth, MA, and by her brother–in-law Walter Bacigalupo and his wife Norma of Pelham, NH. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
     Margaret was also the sister of the late Mary Bacigalupo.
     
COPLEY – In Lowell, April 30, 2013, at Lowell General, Margaret L. (Dockett) Copley, 73, formerly of Dracut, wife of the late Walter P. “Chris” Copley. Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 2 to 5 P.M. Sunday. Her Funeral will take place from the Funeral Home Monday morning at 9 o’clock followed by her Funeral Mass at ST. MICHAEL CHURCH at 10 o’clock. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell.
