Brian D. LaBate

       Brian D. LaBate, 57, of Nashua, formerly a longtime resident of Lowell, died Sunday, June 9th at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua. He was the beloved husband of Lynne A. (Johnson) LaBate with whom he celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on October 23, 2012.
       Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, August 28, 1955, the son of Francis LaBate and his wife Sheila (O’Brien) LaBate of East Falmouth, MA and Elaine (Good) LaBate) Mello of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Brockton, MA and her late husband Ronald, he received his education in the Brockton school system.
       Before retiring, Brian was employed as a mason formerly with Glenview Masonry in Lowell for many years.
      Among his many activities, Brian enjoyed fishing, camping, listening to and playing music, especially the guitar and harmonica. But he especially loved spending quality time with his family.
      In addition to his wife, parents and step-parents, Brian is survived by two daughters Lea M. Barry and her husband John of Nashua, NH and Keri L. Rollinger and her husband Jesse of Manassas, VA; five grandchildren Donovan LaBate, John Barry, Jr., Kyra Rollinger, Caleb Rollinger and Dakota Rollinger; five brothers Rory A. LaBate and his wife Wendy of Nashua, NH, Keith G. Mello, Christopher Mello, Scott Mello and Derek Mello all of Brockton, MA; three sisters Rhonda Corttell and her husband Chris of Tucson, AZ, Marlee Harlfinger of Brooks, GA and Melissa Mello of Taunton, MA; his in-laws the Johnson family; and many nieces and nephews.
       Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 7 P.M. Wednesday.
