 Dennis M. “Double D” Devlin, 72, of Lowell, known by many, loved by all, died Tuesday, August 13th at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Maille) Devlin with whom he would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on September 21st of this year.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, July 8, 1941, the son of the late Harold J. and the late Margaret (Cox) Devlin, he attended St. Patrick Grammar School in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1959.
 Before retiring, Dennis was employed by the City of Lowell as the Clerk of the Works under the Department of Public Works for many years. Previously, he worked at the Courier Citizen in Lowell.
 Dennis was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell.
 Among his many activities, Dennis was a sports enthusiast and an avid golfer. He was a former member of the Mt. Pleasant Golf Club in Lowell and enjoyed his annual trips to the Saratoga Racetrack in Saratoga, NY. He was also a member of the East End Club in Lowell.
 Most importantly though, being all about family, Dennis especially enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren.
 In addition to his wife Kathy, Dennis is survived by two sons Douglas J. Devlin and his wife Patricia of Dracut, MA and Daniel F. Devlin and his wife Sandra of Dunstable, MA; two grandsons Aidan M. Devlin and Gavin D. Devlin both of Dunstable, MA; a sister Margaret Kerbawy of Tyngsboro, MA; a brother Harold J. Devlin, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Lowell, MA; a sister-in-law Constance Devlin of Nashua, NH; two brothers-in-law Leonard Maille and his wife Barbara of Chelmsford, MA and Richard Maille of Lowell, MA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
 He was also father of the late Dennis M. Devlin, Jr. who died November 3, 1996 and brother of the late James Devlin.
 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated Saturday morning at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH (Lower Church) in Lowell at 10 o'clock.
