Mary Anne Walsh

Mary Anne Walsh, 98, a lifelong resident of the City, died Saturday morning August 24, 2013, the day before her 99th birthday, at D’Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, August 25, 1914, the daughter of the late Charles E. and the late Katherine A. (Calnin) Walsh, she attended St. Patrick’s Girls School and the Academy of Notre Dame.

Prior to her retirement, Mary worked as an Office Clerk at J.P. Stevens Company for many years.

A lifelong communicant of St. Margaret Church in Lowell, she also was a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality of her parish.

Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews Shirley Wilkinson and her husband Charles of West Hartford, CT, Nancy Methot and her husband Daniel of East Granby, CT, Katherine M. Walsh and her husband Larry Murphy of Hampton, NH; her niece in law Carol Walsh of Kennebunkport, ME; many grandnieces and grandnephews; and her cousin Eleanor May Walsh of Lowell.

 She was also the sister of the late John K. Walsh, the late William R. Walsh and the late Charles E. Walsh.

Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 9:00 A.M. Her Funeral Mass will follow at ST. MARGARET CHURCH at 9:30 A.M.
