Agnes S. (Strok) Blazonis

Agnes S. (Strok) Blazonis, 92, of Lowell, died Wednesday August 28th at Wingate at Belvidere in Lowell.

She was the wife of the late Wallace Blazonis who died in 1997.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, September 3, 1920, the daughter of the late Konstanty and the late Stanislawa (Pawelcyzk)  Strok, she attended Lowell Schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School with the Class of 1938.

Agnes was a seamstress and dressmaker for most of her life and worked for the Robert Leonard Company for many years.

A deeply religious person, she read the bible daily and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Agnes was all about family and enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She especially liked sewing and making clothes for family and friends.

She was also the proud mother of the “Golden Girls”.

In addition, Agnes was an avid reader and enjoyed doing puzzles.

She is survived by two daughters Brenda A. O’Brien and her husband Philip of Lowell and Hedy Colburn of Tyngsboro and her late husband John M. Colburn; four grandchildren Phil Ferreira and his wife Sue of Dracut, Stephen Ferreira of Bellingham, David O’Brien and his wife Stephanie of Hanover and Elizabeth Feury and her husband Matthew of Lynnfield; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated Wednesday morning at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH at 11 o’clock. Committal Services will be private.
