John J. O’Sullivan

 
World War II Vet, of Lowell, 90
 
 John J. O’Sullivan, 90, of Lowell, died Sunday morning, September 15th at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, January 8, 1923, the son of the late John J. and the late Ellen T. (Smith) O’Sullivan, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1940.
 A veteran of World War II, John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
 Before retiring, John was employed as a Foreman with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Works in Greater Lowell for over 35 years. He was a member of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.
 He was a lifelong communicant of the Parish of St. Rita in Lowell and was a member of the Holy Name Society.
 John is survived by a sister Mary E. O’Sullivan of Lowell, MA; a niece Mary Helen Hulse of Wenham, MA; six nephews Patrick Shanahan of North Kingston, RI, Atty. Kevin Finnegan of Charlestown, MA, Barry Finnegan of Dracut, MA, Brendan Finnegan of Dracut, MA, Mark Finnegan of Wrentham, MA and James O’Sullivan of Hampton, NH; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
 He was also brother of the late Ann M. Finnegan, the late Helen Shanahan and the late James B. O’Sullivan, brother-in-law of the late Atty. Cornelius T. Finnegan, Jr. and uncle of the late Atty. Cornelius T. Finnegan III and the late Atty. Edward Finnegan.
 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Tuesday morning. His Funeral Mass will follow at the PARISH OF ST. RITA at 11 o’clock.
