Anastasia M. “Stacy” Starke

Anastasia M. “Stacy” (Villaras) Starke, 62, of Lowell, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, October 3rd at Lowell General Hospital.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, December 8, 1950, the beloved daughter of Rita (Lelos) Villaras of Lowell and the late George E. Villaras, she grew up in Lowell, attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1968. She then went on to attend Northern Essex Community College.

Stacy worked at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lowell and prior to her illness, at Saints Medical Center (now known as Lowell General Hospital/Saints Campus) as a Dietary Technician. She was known for having a special gift to connect with all of her patients.

Stacy was a talented artist who always took the time to create a special drawing to cheer up her patients.

In addition to her mother Rita, Stacy will be greatly missed by her beloved son Jay S. Starke and his wife Cristy of Santa Barbara, CA; her sister Melanie Villaras of Lowell with whom she shared a crazy sense of humor; her grandson Jason S. Starke of Dracut; her longtime companion George Milne of Lowell; and she was loved by her aunts, uncles, many cousins and her dearest friend Rachel Tarr.
