 Roger G. Clermont, 87, formerly of Pelham, NH and Lowell, MA, died Tuesday, April 22nd at Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus following a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene C. (Ladebauche) Clermont who died in 1990.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 19, 1927, the son of the late Joseph and the late Anna (Bellemare) Clermont, he received his education in the Lowell school system.
 A veteran of World War II, Roger proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy as a Seaman 1st Class.
 Although he was raised and educated in Lowell, Roger was a longtime resident of Pelham. He owned and operated Clermont’s Markets in the greater Lowell area for many years. He left the grocery business to pursue a career in Real Estate and owned and operated Clermont Realty in Lowell and Pelham until his retirement.
 He was a longtime communicant of St. Patrick Church in Pelham.
 Among his many activities, Roger was a longtime member of the Club Lafayette in Lowell as well as a former member of the Lowell Rotary, the Pelham American Legion Post #100 and the Lowell Kiwanis Club. He greatly enjoyed spending quality time with his family as well as traveling to Florida for the winters.
 Roger is survived by four sons Roger R. Clermont of Mooresville, NC, Richard G. Clermont and his wife Sandra of Pelham, NH, Rodney D. Clermont and his partner Lois Shaw of Lowell, MA and Raymond D. Clermont and his wife Jeanne of The Villages, FL; a daughter Rachel I. Clermont and her partner Karen Cangialosi of Walpole, NH; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters Gertrude Clermont and Doris O’Beirne both of Lowell, MA; a brother Richard Clermont and his wife Janice of Lighthouse Point, FL; a brother-in-law Robert Ladebauche and his wife Rise of Nashua, NH; his longtime companion Ann Lynch of Amesbury, MA; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
 He was also brother of the late Roland Clermont, Leo Clermont, Rita Mayotte, Irene St. Jean, Alice Chateauneuf and Germaine Jussaume.
 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Committal Service on Saturday morning at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel in Chelmsford at 11 o’clock.
