Paula Scott

Paula (L’Heureux) Scott, 70, of Dracut, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, April 23rd at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of John J. “Jack” Scott with whom she would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 9th of this year.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 16, 1944, the daughter of the late Paul N. and the late Lucille (Martineau) L’Heureux, she attended Ste. Jeanne D’Arc Grammar School in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1962.  Before retiring, Paula was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Harvard Vanguard in Chelmsford for over 20 years where she was selected by her peers to be the recipient of 2 Diamond Awards. Previously, she worked at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lowell.
Among her many activities, Paula was an avid reader, enjoyed Irish dancing and was a member of the former Billerica Irish American Club. But most of all, being all about family, she loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband.
In addition to her husband Jack, Paula is survived by a daughter Christine P. Hamilton and her husband Bruce of Hampstead, NH; two sons Michael J. Scott and his wife Susan of Arlington, MA and Kevin P. Scott and his wife Kathleen of Lowell, MA; eight grandchildren Jack, Kevin, Timothy, Sean and Seamus Scott, Meaghan and Mikaela Hamilton and William Birmingham; a brother Marc L’Heureux and his wife Mary of Perry, OH; a sister-in-law Phyllis C. Scott of Dracut, MA; three nieces and nephews Tracy, Marc and Aime; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The members of the Scott family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the many loving and caring home health aides who provided personal care and kindness to their wife and mother in her time of need.
