Patricia Ann McMahon, R.N. 

Beloved mother and grandmother, 

     Patricia Ann (Callahan) McMahon, R.N., 95, of Lowell, died Monday, May 5th at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Stillman D. McMahon who died June 8, 2000.

     Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 16, 1919, the daughter of the late John J. and the late Mary (Sullivan ) Callahan, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School. She then went on to graduate from the former St. Joseph School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.

     Patricia began her career as a Registered Nurse at the Department of Public Health in Brighton, Massachusetts and then in Baltimore, Maryland.

     She then returned to Lowell and did private duty nursing and later was an R.N. at the Oblate Infirmary in Tewksbury prior to her retirement.

     Among her many activities, Patricia was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and sewing. She loved spending quality time with her family and writing poetry for her grandchildren.

     Patricia is survived by two daughters Constance M. Chapdelaine and her husband Guy od Bedford, NH and Elaine A. Pietras, with whom she made her home, and her husband David of Lowell, MA; a son Joseph J. McMahon and his wife Anne of Sebago Lake, ME; three granddaughters Leah C. Beauchemin, Bridget M. McMahon and Katherine H. Pietras; two grandsons Alex J. Chapdelaine and Patrick J. McMahon; and many nieces and nephews.

     She was also sister of the late Helen Pollard and Catherine, John, James and Joseph Callahan

     The family wishes to express their thanks to those caregivers from Lowell Registry of Private Duty Nurses and aides whose comfort care and concern for their mother was deeply appreciated.

 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. from 4 to 7 P.M. Wednesday. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass to be celebrated Thursday morning at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH at 10 o’clock.
