Helen Caravoulias

Former longtime Dracut resident;

Helen Caravoulias, 93, died Wednesday September 3, 2014 at the Halcyon House Retirement Home in Methuen.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, September 2, 1921, the daughter of the late Pantelis and the late Kostoula (Maheras) Caravoulias, she was educated in the Lowell Public Schools.

In 1941, she moved to Dracut where she resided most of her life.

Prior to her retirement, Ms. Caravoulias worked as a Supervisor for Honeywell in Brighton, MA.

She was a member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell and the Ladies Philoptochos Society.

Helen is survived by four nieces Joan Dugan of North Andover; Constance Werenko of Londonderry, NH, Anna Paradis of Chelmsford, Mary Caravoulias of Andover; also a nephew Peter Caravoulias of Dracut; many grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces including her beloved Abigail and great grandnephews.

She was the sister of the late James Caravoulias, the late John Caravoulias and the late Anastasia Caravoulias.

Private Services were held at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME. Interment was at the Westlawn Cemetery. E-condolences @odonnellfuneralhome.com.
