Robert “Bob” Giordano

Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather
Robert “Bob” Giordano, 77, of Tyngsboro, formerly of Nashua, Billerica and Revere, died Thursday morning, September 25th at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. “Pat” (Kehoe) Giordano with whom he would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on November 12th of this year.
Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, September 29, 1936, the son of the late Mary Giordano and stepson of the late Anthony Desiderio, he received his education in Revere and Somerville schools.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bennington.
Before retiring, Bob worked in maintenance for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Statehouse in Boston. Most recently, he worked in maintenance for Small World Country Day School & World Elementary in Nashua for 13 years.
He was a former member of the Billerica Elks B.P.O.E #2071, the Billerica Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post #21 in Concord, NH.
Among his many activities, Bob enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing, painting cartoon characters and making wine with his family. He also liked traveling to Foxwoods and was an avid New England sports fan, especially of the Patriots and Red Sox. But above all else, he loved spending quality time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandson.
In addition to his wife Pat, Bob is survived by three sons Robert A. “Bo” Giordano and his wife Dawn of Billerica, MA, Michael T. Giordano and his wife Pam of Alpharetta, GA and Stephen P. Giordano and his wife Pauline of Tyngsboro, MA; five grandchildren Mark Giordano and his wife Joanna of Bedford, MA, Jessica Giordano of Alpharetta, GA, Alexandra Giordano of Tyngsboro, MA and Nicholas Giordano and David Giordano both of Billerica, MA; his great-grandson Charlie Giordano; a sister Delores Santucci of Manchester, NH; a brother Anthony Desiderio of Staten Island, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also brother of the late Mary Ann Desiderio and brother-in-law of the late John Santucci.
Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher in Lowell from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated Tuesday morning at ST. THERESA CHURCH in Billerica at 10:30 o’clock. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery.
