William A. “Bill” Crockett

 
 William A. “Bill” Crockett, 75, of Bedford, NH, formerly of Lowell, died Thursday, October 2nd at Bentley Commons where he resided. He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria A. (Inman) Crockett who died on July 31, 1994.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, September 2, 1939, the son of the late E. Francis and the late Helen M. (Gerow) Crockett, he attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and was a graduate of Keith Academy in the Class of 1957.
 A veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the Mitscher class destroyer USS Wilkinson.
 Before retiring, Bill was employed as Letter Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in the Lawrence for over 28 years. He also worked as a bartender at Cappy’s Copper Kettle in Lowell for 30 years.
 Among his many activities, Bill enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends and playing cards. He was also an avid New England sports fan, especially of the Patriots and Red Sox.
 He was an active member of the National Association of Letter Carriers (N.A.L.C.), Branch 212 in Lawrence.
 Bill is survived by a brother David F. Crockett and his wife Yvette of Moultonborough, NH; four stepchildren David Inman of CA, Jean Blamy of FL, Richard Inman and his wife Harriett of Dering, NH and Curtis Coulam of North Billerica; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher in Lowell from 1 to 5 P.M. Sunday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated Monday morning at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH (Lower Church) in Lowell at 10 o’clock.
