Thomas P. Hogan

Beloved son and brother;

Thomas P. Hogan, Jr, 59, passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Friday, October 24, with his family by his side.

He was born March 21, 1955 in Lowell, Mass, a son of Thomas P. and Teresa K. (Hayes) Hogan of Lowell.

A graduate of the Immaculate Conception School in Lowell, he attended St John’s Prep and Lowell High and received his Associates Degree from Essex Agricultural School.  For many years, Tom was an active member of the Renaissance Club in Lowell, MA.

Among his numerous interests were the environment, politics and sports. He was an avid fan of all Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox and the New England Patriots.  He had an amazing memory and was frequently the ‘go to’ person when family members were trying to remember sports memorabilia from years past.

Tom touched the hearts of many of the compassionate caregivers who have taken care of him throughout the years.

Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters  Maureen Hogan and her husband, Andy Riebs of York, Maine and Ann T Hogan of Malden, MA; his aunt, Sister Timothy Marie Hogan of Wellesley and his uncle William T Hogan, formerly of Chelmsford, MA (now residing in Mobile, Alabama) and numerous cousins and friends.

He was the brother of the late Joseph E. Hogan who died in 1998.

Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated Wednesday morning at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH (Lower Church) at 11 o’clock. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery in North Tewksbury. Those wishing may make contributions in his memory to the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill of Greater Lowell. 391 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854.
