Robert A. Doyle

Loving husband, father and grandfather;

 Robert A. Doyle, 75, of Lowell, passed away Sunday, November 9th at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. He was the beloved husband of Marion E. (Richardson) Doyle with whom he recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on October 12th of this year.

 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 24, 1939, a son of the late James W. and the late Florence M. (Linscott) Doyle, he attended St. Patrick Grammar School in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1957.
 

A veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, Bob proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the Intelligence Division of the U.S. Army.

Before retiring, Bob was employed as President of Southeastern Cellular in Greenville, NC for 3 years. Previously, he was Vice President of Loss Prevention at the former Grossman’s Lumber in Braintree, MA.
 

Among his many activities, Bob was a longtime member of the YMCA in Lowell as well as a member of the Lowell Elks BPOE Lodge #87. He also served on the Lowell High School reunion Committee. A fierce 45’ player, he was also a member of “the Moles”.
 

His most cherished moments where with his family, especially his grandchildren in the summer at his second home, Hampton Beach.
 

In addition to his wife Marion, Bob is survived by three daughters Beth Ellen Reid and her husband Stephen of Ayer, MA, Stacey Geary and her husband Stephan of Lowell, MA and Betsy Evans and her husband Timothy of West Roxbury, MA; a son Michael G. McCready of Lowell, MA; six grandchildren Michael Reid, Craig Reid, Catherine Geary, Jonathan Geary, Matthew Geary and Abigail Duggan; a brother Leo F. Doyle of Dracut; and several nephews and a niece, among them his godson James Doyle of  Maine
 

He was also brother of the late James Doyle and the late Thomas Doyle.

 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at ST.
