Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and teacher
 
 Gloria Jeanne LaFlamme (Laferriere) of Lowell, MA and Fort Pierce, FL passed away peacefully at her home on November 10, 2014 at the age of 83. Gloria was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. LaFlamme for 50 years.
 Gloria was born in Lowell on March 11, 1931 to the late Henry “Hank” and the late Jeannette (Aselin) Laferriere. She attended St. Michael’s and St. Patrick’s Grammar Schools and was a graduate of St, Patrick’s Girls High School. She then went on to graduate from Lowell State Teachers’ College.  Prior to her retirement, she taught in Shirley and Lowell Public Schools for over 30 years and took much pride in teaching her students.
 In 1952, Gloria married Richard LaFlamme and raised her family in Lowell.  She was a long time communicant of St. Margaret’s Church in Lowell.
 Gloria was a talented seamstress and often created coordinating outfits for her children.  She enjoyed decorating cakes, making unique creations for her grandchildrens’ special occasions.  In her free time, she enjoyed reading, playing scrabble and traveling abroad, especially cruising with her husband and family. 
 Following her retirement, Gloria enjoyed living in Fort Pierce FL during the cold winter months. She was a warm, caring person, loved by everyone.
 Gloria is survived by her children: Richard LaFlamme and his wife Nancy of Tyngsboro; Deborah Bellegarde and her husband Thomas of Lowell; Kevin LaFlamme and his wife Kathleen of Lowell and Karen LaFlamme and Delbert Johnston of Dracut. 
 In addition, Gloria is survived by her brothers: Henry Laferriere of Haverhill, Gilbert Laferriere and his wife Donna of Pelham, NH, David Laferriere of Lowell, Michael Laferriere and his wife Virginia of Lowell; her sisters: Beatrice “Sookie” RoeDerer of Santa Barbara, CA, Arlene Normandin of Lowell, and Jeannie Campagnone of Maine, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 
 Gloria was predeceased by her sisters: Delores Soucier and Janet Hargreaves.
 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 3 to 8 P.M. Thursday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday morning at ST.
