James Joseph Reidy, Jr.

James Joseph Reidy, Jr., 76, of the Highlands section of Lowell, died Saturday, December 27th at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 17, 1938, a son of the late James J. Sr. and the late Gladys V. (Cronin) Reidy, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1955. He then went on to graduate from Merrimack College in 1959 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English.
Before retiring, James was employed within Lowell school system and taught at the Daley Junior High School for over 25 years.
Among his many activities, James was a member of the Merrimack College Alumni Association and the Catholic Layman Society.
James is survived by a sister Rosalind Desrosiers and her husband Robert T. of Venice, FL; a brother Edward J. Reidy of Dracut, MA; six nieces and nephews Robert T. Desrosiers III of Ringwood, NJ, Catherine E. Desrosiers of Hewitt, NJ, Stephen M. Desrosiers of Paramus, NJ, Patricia A. Cote of Tyngsboro, MA, Susan M. Gosselin of Methuen, MA and Elizabeth J. Torpey of Dracut, MA; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was also brother-in-law of the late Marilyn M. (Hughes) Reidy.

Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 9 to 10 A.M. Saturday. His Funeral Mass will follow at ST. MARGARET CHURCH in Lowell at 10:30 o’clock.
