Marie A. (Harnois) Soucy

Marie A. (Harnois) Soucy, 78, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Tuesday morning, June 16th at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Maurice L. Soucy who died June 24, 2004.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, May 31, 1937, the daughter of the late Louis A. and the late Rose (Magras) Harnois, she attended the Franco American Grammar School in Lowell and was a graduate of St. Patrick High School.
Prior to her retirement, Marie worked as the Parish Secretary at St. Patrick Church in Lowell for many years.
Among her many interests, Marie enjoyed reading, crocheting and going the beach, especially in York Beach, Maine. However, she was most happiest when she was spending quality time with her loved ones.
Marie is survived by her daughter Francine M. Soucy and her companion Salvador Pesina of Lowell; two sons David M. Soucy and his wife Kim of Londonderry, NH and Paul – Joseph Soucy and his wife Nicole of Derry, NH; four grandchildren Alexander Soucy, Andrew Soucy, Joshua Soucy and Matthew Soucy; her granddog “Gizmo”; three brothers Normand Harnois of Springfield, MA, Paul Harnois of Virginia and Robert Harnois of Dracut; her dear friend Mary Gail Kennedy of Newburyport; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday. Her Funeral will take place from the Funeral Home Friday morning at 9 o’clock followed by a Funeral Mass at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in LOWELL at 10 o’clock. Committal Services will be held privately.
