Luis Gonzalez

 Luis Gonzalez, 43, of Lowell, died Saturday, June 20th at his home following an extended illness. He was the beloved fiancé of Irma Alvarado who survives him.
 Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, January 14, 1972, a son of Luis Ramon Gonzalez and Marta Villanueva of Lowell, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
 Before declining health forced his retirement, Luis was employed as a Patient Transporter at Lowell General Hospital for many years. Previously, he worked in construction.
 Among his many interests, Luis enjoyed playing softball, baseball and loved traveling to the beach. He was also an avid New England sports fan as well as a fan of the New York Yankees.
 In addition to his fiancée and parents, Luis is survived by five children Michaela Gonzalez of Lowell, Nikkie Gonzalez of Lowell, Angel Gonzalez of Lowell, Alex Gonzalez of Derry, NH and Derek Gonzalez of Lowell; five grandchildren; a sister Elizabeth Gonzalez of Lowell; a brother Moises Gonzalez of Lowell; four nieces; and one nephew.
 In keeping in accordance with his wishes, all services were held privately.
