I will always remember Eleanor as a warm and caring lady who always made me feel welcome at the Gurnett Inn. She and the Colonel were great friends to my parents and will be missed.

Eleanor M. BroxEleanor M. (Kelly) Brox, 95, died peacefully on August 21, at her home in Chelmsford.She was predeceased by her husband, Frank A. Brox, who died on July 24, 2014, and to whom she was married for 65 years.Born in Lowell on October 11, 1919, she was the daughter of late John L. Kelly and the late Mabelle (Killoy) Kelly.She attended St. Michael School, Keith Hall and graduated from Lowell High School in 1937. Prior to her marriage, she was the switchboard manager at McGowan Educator Biscuit Company.She is survived by two daughters, Mary Brox, and her husband, Raj Prasad, of Chelmsford, and Andrea Brox, and her husband, John C. McCarthy, of Concord, a grandson, John Brox McCarthy, also of Concord, as well as many nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy (Kelly) Bass.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Funeral Mass to be celebrated Friday morning at 11 o’clock at ST.
