Dorothy A. (McCarron) Duggan

beloved mother, sister, aunt and great aunt;

Dorothy A. (McCarron) Duggan, 86, of Lowell, a member of a widely known Lowell family, died Tuesday morning at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
She was the wife of the late Edward Duggan who died in 1992.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, December 28, 1928, the daughter of the late James J. and the late Mary Jane (McCann) McCarron, she attended the Immaculate Conception Grammar School and was a graduate of the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro in the Class of 1946. Dorothy went on to graduate in 1950 from the former Lowell Textile Institute (nka UMass/Lowell) with a Degree in Chemistry.  
Prior to her retirement, Dorothy worked at the LRTA.  Previously, she was an Electrical Tester for Honeywell Information Systems.
Active with her church, she was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church and also was a member of the parish choir.
Among her many interests, Dorothy enjoyed singing in the church choir, traveling, and spending time with her family.  
Dorothy is survived by her son Dennis McCarron of Fort Walton Beach, FL, her sister Virginia Gregoire of Utah, her brother Thomas McCarron and his wife Jenny of Fort Walton Beach, FL; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was also the sister of the late John J. McCarron, the late Felix McCarron, the late Mary Murphy and the late James McCarron.
There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated Saturday morning at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH at 11 o'clock. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
