James “Brendan” Reilly James “Brendan” Reilly, 83, of the Belvidere Section of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4th at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Harris) Reilly with whom he celebrated their 38 wedding anniversary on September 16th of this year.
Born in Dracut, Massachusetts, July 5, 1932, a son of the late Francis and the late Susan (Gorman) Reilly, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Keith Academy in the Class of 1952 where he was also a member of the Keith Academy state baseball championship team. He was a longtime parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell. Before retiring, James was employed as a proofreader with Bowne Financial Printers in Boston for over 20 years. Previously, he worked at the Courier Citizen Company in Lowell. James enjoyed all sports, but his true passion was playing golf at Longmeadow Country Club in Lowell. His family would especially like to thank the team at Longmeadow who helped to revive him, giving his family some precious hours they were able to spend with him. In addition to his wife Linda, James is survived by his in-laws James and Cynthia (Harris) Foye of Chelmsford; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. James also leaves his special godchild Mary Jane (Faneuf) Merrill who would always light up his face. Thank you Mary Jane for years of love and devotion! Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. on Saturday.
