 Robert D. Rheaume, Sr., 86, of Dracut, died Thursday, March 24th at Lowell General Hospital – Main Campus with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Geraldine T. “Gerry” (O’Leary) Rheaume who survives him.
 Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, October 13, 1929, a son of the late Ernest J. and the late Eva J. (David) Rheaume, he received his education in the Haverhill school system.
 A proud veteran of the Korean War, Bob was drafted into the U.S. Army on June 6, 1951 and completed his Basic Training at Camp Chaffe in Arkansas. He was then assigned to Iwo Jima where he underwent additional training before being shipped to Korea where he served for 1 ½ years until his Honorable Discharge. While in the army, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars and the United Nations Service Medal.
 Before retiring, Bob was employed as a baker with Market Basket in Tewksbury for over 15 years. Previously, he was the chef at the former Beacon Crest Nursing Home in Lowell and Whittier Nursing Home in Haverhill. He also worked as a manager for Grad’s Specialty Shop in Haverhill.
 Among his many interests, he enjoyed cooking, bowling and being the sports enthusiast that he was; he was a former Coach with the St. Joseph Little League in Haverhill. He was also an avid Red Sox fan. He was a member of the Rotary Club in Lowell, the VFW Post 662 in Lowell and a past commander of the Franco American War Veterans Post 4 of Lowell.
 In addition to his wife Gerry, Bob is survived by a daughter Susan T. Souther of Salisbury, MA; two grandchildren Christopher D. Curley and his wife Erin of Salisbury, MA and Tammy A. Curley and her fiancé Robert Peterson of Newburyport, MA; four great-grandchildren; two brothers Nelson J. Rheaume and his wife Jean of Sandown, NH and Thomas L. Rheaume and his wife Melanie of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
 He was also father of the late Robert D. Rheaume, Jr. and brother of the late Edmund, Leo, Donat, Louis, Wilfred, Ernest, Leon and Albert Rheaume and the late Eva York.
 Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in Lowell, from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning at ST.
