Loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather
 
 Maurice R. McNulty, 86, of Lowell, died Sunday November 20th at Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Dickey)(Hitchcock)  McNulty. Previously, he was formerly married to the late Catherine T. (Beauregard) McNulty.
 Born in Boston, Massachusetts, September 30, 1930, the son of the late Robert L. and the late Lydia (St. Gelais) McNulty, he received his education at the Franco American School.
 Maurice was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard during the Korean Conflict.
 Before retiring, he was employed as a sheet metal fabricator with Edward Kelly Sheet Metal, Inc. in Lowell for over 25 years. In addition, he was a professional musician playing both the accordion and keyboard at several area restaurants and clubs.
 Among his many interests, Maurice loved music and music technology. However his greatest joy was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 Maurice is survived by five daughters Kathleen Hayes and her husband Wayne of Lawrence, MA, Eileen Hall and her husband Charles of St. Petersburg, FL, Maureen Lambert of Dracut, MA, Colleen Desrochers and her husband Michael “Leo” of Dorchester, MA and Christine McNulty and her companion James Hurley of Lowell, MA; a son Michael McNulty and his wife Elaine of Dracut, MA; seventeen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
 He was also father of the late Francine Gagnon and brother of the late Gerald Tierney, the late Fernand McNulty and the late Norman “Roger” McNulty.
 The McNulty family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff at Palm Manor in Chelmsford for the care, concern and compassion that was given to their father in his time of need.
 There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Committal Service Friday morning at ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY CHAPEL in Chelmsford at 11 o’clock.
