Loving, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend;
 
 Peter F. Gill, age 89, died peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2017. Peter celebrated 63 years of marriage to the love of his life, Marilyn (Leahy), on October, 17th.
 Peter was born to Peter F. and Edith C. (Donohoe) Gill on December 20, 1927. He attended Saint Peters Grammar School, Keith Academy and Merrimack College. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He retired from the New England Telephone Company after 30+ years of service.
 Peter’s fondest memories were the summer vacations spent at Popponesset Beach with family and friends.  He also enjoyed his time with friends at Mount Pleasant Golf Club playing 45’s and the weekly bowling league.
 Besides his wife, Marilyn, Peter is survived by seven children: Mary Geoffroy and her husband Joseph, Patricia Sepe and her husband Matthew, Kathleen Gill, Charles D. Gill, Kerryann Gill, Roberta Barnes and her husband Wallace and Tracy Reilly and her husband Peter, ten grandchildren: Gina Martel and her husband William, Christopher Gill, Michael Geoffroy, Peter Sepe, Bridget and Garrett Barnes, Carly Gill, Owen, Norah and Conor Reilly. Peter is also survived by his sister, Sr. Marie Gill, Sisters of Charity of Halifax, his in-laws: Ginny Gill, Louise Gill, Elinor O’Connor, Joan and Al Lenzi, Martha Leahy and Gloria Leahy, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Peter was predeceased by his brothers, Owen and Richard Gill, special aunt and uncle Charles Donohoe and Alice Donohoe, his in-laws William and Elizabeth Nangle, James O’Connor, John Leahy and Daniel Leahy.
 We would like to thank the staff at Palm Manor for the care and compassion they showed Peter, especially his friend Sulaiman. We are eternally grateful.
 There will be no calling hours. However relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Thursday morning at the COLLEGIATE CHURCH OF CHRIST THE TEACHER at MERRIMACK COLLEGE, 315 Turnpike St, North Andover at 10:30 A.M., all are welcome. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH) followed by his burial at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell, MA. E-condolences at
