Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt
 
Judith K. (Parkhurst) Smith, 77, of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, formerly of Lowell, Massachusetts, died Sunday, July 9th at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC. She was the beloved wife of William A. Smith who survives her and with whom she celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 17th.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 6, 1940, a daughter of the late Eliot K. and the late Rita M. (Regan) Parkhurst, she attended Billerica, MA schools and was a graduate of Billerica Memorial High School. Eager to further her education, she went on to graduate from Framingham State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Earth Sciences with a minor in mathematics.
 Before retiring, Judith was employed as Director of Information Management with the Consolidated Group Life Insurance Company in Framingham where she worked for over 20 years. Previously, she worked as a Software Analyst at New England Life in Boston, a Technical Secretary in Research and Development at Rand Corporation in Boston and as a Wedding Hostess at King Phillip Restaurant in Wrentham, MA.
 Among her many interests, Judith enjoyed being a 4-H leader when her children were younger, shopping for her loved ones, quilting, needlework, stained glass, basketry, doll making, gardening and reading. Above all else though, being all about family, she cherished the quality time she was able to spend with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her pet cat “McDuff”.
 In addition to her husband Bill, Judith is survived by three daughters Wendy A. Smith of Wake Forest, NC, Melissa Anne of Spring Hill, FL and Mary B. Smith-Gagnon of Derry, NH; two sons Mark E. Smith and his wife Martha M. Mawhorr of North Conway, NH and Matthew H. Smith and his wife Joan of Campton, NH; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister Jane L. Montmarquet and her husband Bob of Raymond, NH; a sister-in-law Phyllis M. Harmon of Raymond, NH; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in Lowell from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service to be celebrated Saturday morning at the Funeral Home at 10 o’clock. Committal Services to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell.     My sincere condolences to Judy's family. I have lovely memories of Judy from high school. She was so bright and I loved her sense of humor. I had hoped she'd be able to attend our 60th reunion this year. My prayers are with you all.
