Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
Elizabeth C. (Cluin) Quealy, of North Chelmsford, died Saturday. September 2nd at Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul P. Quealy. Born in Albany, New York, the daughter of the late Edmund M. and the late Florence C. (Ferrin) Cluin, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School. Eager to further her education, she then went on to graduate from the former Lowell State Teacher’s College (now known as UMass Lowell) earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She also did some graduate studies at the University of New Hampshire. Before retiring, Elizabeth was employed as an elementary school teacher in Lexington for 11 years and then in Lowell for over 23 years. Passionate about her job as a teacher, she was devoted and loved working with her students and faculty alike. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Church in Chelmsford where she also volunteered much of her time. Among her many activities, Elizabeth was a former member of Mt. Pleasant Golf Club in Lowell and the Massachusetts Teacher’s Association. She loved reading and traveling and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. Above all else, nothing made her happier than spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elizabeth is survived by two daughters Elizabeth A. Bilodeau of Groton, MA and Kathleen M. Novak and her husband Michael of Woodbury, CT; a son Paul J. Quealy of North Chelmsford, MA; three grandchildren Patricia Bilodeau, Christopher Novak and Alexander Novak; and four great-grandchildren Crista Bilodeau, Ryan Mertz, Mason Rodgers and Brayden Bilodeau. She was also grandmother of the late Dennis Bilodeau, Jr. and sister of the late John J. Cluin.
Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 5 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, September 7, 2017. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated Thursday morning at ST. MARY CHURCH in Chelmsford at 11 o’clock.
