Loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt
 
 Louise Gail (Ireland) Gillis, 78, of Lowell, died Tuesday, November 14th at Lowell General Hospital – Main Campus. She was the beloved wife of 40 years to the late E. David Gillis who died January 14, 2000.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, June 8, 1939, the daughter of the late Arthur J. and the late Louise F. (Roy) Ireland, she attended St. Michael’s Grammar School in Lowell and was a graduate of Keith Hall with the Class of 1957.
 Before retiring, Gail was employed as a Postal Clerk at the U.S. Post Office in Wilmington for over 20 years.
 Among her many interests, she loved traveling, especially to Ocean Park, Maine and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Above all else, her greatest joy was the quality time she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren.
 Gail is survived by four children Karen L. Gillis of Norwalk, CT, Kyle D. Gillis and his wife Shelly of Hollis, NH, Richard A. Gillis and his wife Amy of Lowell, MA and Lynn E. Steinbrick and her husband Andrew of Orange, CT; ten grandchildren Anna, Jane and Edward Zawislak, Mollie and Andrew Gillis, Michael and Maura Gillis and James, William and Emilia Steinbrick; a sister Maureen A. Lerner and her husband Arnold of Naples, FL; a brother David J. Ireland of TN and his wife, Dottie; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
 She was also sister of the late Roy Ireland, Patricia E. Parker, Brian E. Ireland and Linda D. Rummel.
 Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 12 to 3 P.M. Sunday. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Monday morning at ST. MICHAEL CHURCH in Lowell at 10 o’clock. Burial will follow at Lowell Cemetery. E-condolences/directions at
