Patricia A. MarchandLoving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friendPatricia A. (Perreault) Marchand, 60, of Lowell, formerly of Amesbury, passed away on Saturday December 2, 2017 at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Roger and the late Rita (Murphy) Perreault, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School with the Class of 1975. She then went on to graduate from U-Mass Lowell.
Prior to her illness, Patty was employed as a Patient Care Assistant at Greater Lowell Mental Health. Previously, she worked at the former Bon Marché, Alexander’s Bakery and ARC, all in Lowell.
Patty loved to read, listen to music and socialize with her friends. Her best friend for many years was Paulette Bergeron of Amesbury, MA. She and Paulette shared a friendship that was rich and deep and brought them both joy and comfort.
Patty is survived by two sons Jeffrey Marchand and his fiancée Alyson Onthank of Manchester, NH and Jason Marchand and his wife Christine of Bedford, NH; two grandchildren Benjamin and Katherine Marchand whom she was very proud of; four sisters Mary Ann Brodeur and her husband Roland of Dracut, MA, Rita Pigeon and her husband Ernest, Dorothy Trowbridge and her husband James and Louise Beauchesne and her husband Robert all of Lowell, MA; three brothers William J. Perreault and his wife Patricia of Las Vegas, NV, Roger Perreault, Jr. and his wife Gail and Peter J. Perreault of all of Dracut, MA; several aunts and uncles including Catherine Liston of Lowell who was exceptionally generous to Pat; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews including Eric Beauchesne who brought joy to Pat on his Friday morning visits; and her dear friend Paulette Bergeron.
She was also the former wife of the late Richard Marchand who passed away in January of 2016.Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass Wednesday morning at ST. MICHAEL CHURCH in Lowell at 11 o’clock followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Tewksbury.
