  • Paul Palmer, Big Joe, Ian, and  - Our Best Friend
We are so missing you pal! The community of Groton has lost a very special friend, whose spirit had such a big impact on my life, that of my sons, my employees and the customers of the Groton Exchange. Never afraid of just being you, we were touched by your smile, laughter, and a multitude of character moments while at the store. Sharing our common interests in sports, politics, beer, seafood, women, news, religion, music and just being buddies! Nobody looked better in a sports uniform than you Fred. These memories shared have forever been etched in our minds. Your love for the Red Sox, Patriots, daily trips to the Exchange, visits to my house, and our walks through Groton with the dogs. Yes even those nights out with the guys. I will forever re-tell those experiences, the show we always seemed to create while enjoying great moments. I will return to those magical places we both enjoyed like Ixtapas, Surf Restaurant, Outback, Gibbet Hill, Ninety Nine and too many others to mention. For these places will bring great comfort just knowing your spirit rides with me again! Love and respect Freddie...

You were only in my life a short while but you touched my life in so many ways. Not many times in your life when you meet someone that can do that. Gonna miss that sense of humor, your smile, and your moonwalking my friend. Love ya bud. Missing you already.
